1959 Hammond Runabout Timber Clinker Speed Boat

Boat builder Harry Hammond of Brookvale, New South Wales produced state-of-the-art timber boats to the highest standards in the 1950s and 1960s and was rightly regarded, along with Halvorsen (who specialised in smaller runabouts and speedboats) as one of Australia's finest exponents of the craft, with surviving examples highly prized today. With a growing interest in classic wooden craft and prices for the likes of Riva and Chris Craft boats escalating, the locally made and relatively affordable Hammond offers plenty of opportunities to participate in club events, water skiing or simply enjoy cruising the waterways.
