Originally designed and manufactured in Ararat, Victoria, the TD2000 combined the styling and aura of the early 1950s MG TD with modern mechanical components and safety features, effectively creating an Australian 'Morgan'.
The Australian cars used Nissan engines and transmissions, but following the acquisition of the company by Malaysian interests in 1998, these classic roadsters are now hand-built at TD Cars' Shah Alam assembly plant with Toyota engines and transmissions.
