Description
The Vespa has become something of a cult object in recent years, worshipped by enthusiasts around the world. Transcending the original design brief of providing cheap mass transportation to millions of Italians, the Vespa was popularised through clever marketing and a strong association with celebrities. Best remembered for its role in "Roman Holiday" with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, the Vespa is the grandfather of all modern scooters and can be found on pavements outside the hippest cafes and bars today. The Vespa 150 Sprint offered here remained in production from 1965 until 1974 and came with the 150cc engine, Dell'Orto SHB 16/10 carburettor and four-speed gearbox. A classic Vespa such as this makes an ideal choice of commuter vehicle in our crowded cities today, being reliable, cheap to maintain and with loads of style.
