1957 Austin Healey 100/6 BN 4 Roadster

First of the six-cylinder Big Healeys, the 100/6 replaced the 100/4 in 1956 and featured a stretched wheelbase plus revised bodywork, with an oval grille (styled after the 100 Sebring race model), different swage line and fixed windscreen. Two body styles were offered in the 100/6, the BN4 with occasional rear seats and the BN6, strictly a two-seater. The engine was essentially the BMC C-series six-cylinder unit from the Austin Westminster. Production commenced in May 1956 at Longbridge before switching to Abingdon late in 1957. The 100/6 remained in production until replaced with the 3000 series in 1959 and today the Big Healey is still popular with car enthusiasts drawn to the stylish lines, wind in the hair driving experience and charisma that first attracted buyers back in the 1950s.
