Description
In creating the limited edition Bullitt Mustangs, Ford took inspiration from the legendary Steve McQueen's charge in the 1968 movie, Bullitt. McQueen, playing undercover Lieutenant Frank Bullitt, drove a Dark Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT 390 in the movie, most famously chasing a Dodge Charger in one of the most revered car chase scenes in cinematic history. The Bullitt nameplate was first seen on a 2001 'Stang, with a second iteration being released in 2008. Based on the 4.6 litre V8 GT specification, the Bullitt tribute receives several upgrades, including a more powerful 315bhp version of the V8 engine with a specially tuned exhaust note. It also comes with unique wheels and lowered suspension. Production was limited to 3000 units, painted in Dark Highland Green or Black.
