Description
The limited edition release of the VK Group A Group 3 combined the best of both worlds to produce arguably the most desired Commodore of them all. Just 48 of these vehicles were made, giving purchasers the grunt of the Group A engine package with the appointments of the Group 3 option pack. It was based on a Berlina and as such received full instrumentation and other refinements, while the optional rear-facing scoop was also fitted to the bonnet. Available only in Formula Blue, several were ordered with the optional Momo Star wheels in place of the standard Aeros. Also available was the sought after T5 five-speed manual gearbox, an option that added some $2850 to the final price of the car.
Given their significance and rarity, it is no wonder that they have become highly collectible, commanding a premium over the already impressive 'standard' VK Group A in today's market.
