The BSA B33 is seen by BSA enthusiasts as the big brother to their immediate post-war B31. Powered by a 500cc 'Single' with 85mm bore/88mm stroke, the B33 also gained a wider rear tyre and larger inlet valve over the 350cc B31. Telescopic front forks were utilised though the rear ends were solid. These bikes were both seen as 'rigid's' , Later Followed by the 'plunger' sprung frames that made motorbikes far more liveable.
