The Cadillac Series 62 series was the mainstay model of the Cadillac range from its introduction in 1941 until 1964. Built on a redesigned chassis for 1954 with a new 129 in (3277 mm) wheelbase and with a 220.9 in (5610 mm) overall length for the Sedan and Coupe, the 1954 Cadillacs had their first major restyling in four years. All the models were longer, lower and wider with increased wheelbases on three series. All cars also had wraparound windshields for the first time. The front end incorporated Cadillac's first integrated bumper grill, with large bullet shaped overriders nicknamed Dagmar's after the voluptuous television star of the era.
