Description
The Bristol 410 was essentially an updated version of the 409 in 1968. Coming onto the market in 1968, the 410 continued the Bristol tradition of being built to order. The 410 benefitted over the 409 in several key areas. Firstly, air-conditioning was made available as an option. The traditional push-button change for the Chrysler TorqueFlite three-speed auto was converted to a conventional floor-shift. Under the skin twin-circuit braking was introduced, wheels were downsized from 16 to 15 inches and the suspension was thoroughly redesigned to take advantage of modern radial tyres. Powered by the now-familiar 318-cid Chrysler V8 engine, the 410 remained a stylish and powerful British saloon throughout its small, two-year production cycle. It is believed around only 79 examples were built making this a rare collectors car.
