The Mazda RX-3 was produced from September, 1971 through to 1978 and was a very popular vehicle. It had a wheelbase that measured 2286 mm. Shortly after its release Mazda came up with a new process called the Transplant Coating Process (TCP) which featured sprayed-on steel which is then coated with chrome, giving greatly increased engine life. All Mazdas had their die-cast rotor housings coated with this new process. The Mazdas RX-3s were available as a Super Deluxe Coupe, a Deluxe Sedan or in Station Wagon forms.
