Description
Originally built by Ken Farr in the 1960s for hillclimbing and Formula Libre circuit racing, his open-wheeler consisted of a custom-made tubular frame with the front suspension, including the uprights, brakes and wheels all sourced from a Triumph Herald, while the rear end, including the flat-four engine and gearbox, were well-proven Volkswagen components. The rack and pinion steering came from a Morris Major Elite and the finished car clothed in simple, lightweight aluminium body panels. Farr competed in various hillclimbs and circuit races in his well-constructed special during the late 1960s and went on to race a Lotus single-seater. Over the years the Farr has proven competitive, easy to drive and is the perfect entry-level historic racing car, being eligible for a wide variety of events.
