Often regarded as the most balanced of the beautiful little 105-series Alfa Romeo coupes, the 1750 Sprint GTV has the advantage of the extra poke from bigger engine - up from 106bhp to 112bhp - and a more appealing interior. The Bertone styling was an early design by the maestro Giorgetto Giugiario and is a masterpiece that still looks clean, functional and very attractive to the eye today. The 105-series also had plenty of interior space for such a compact design and four adults can easily be accommodated within the comfortable surrounds of the cabin. A great driver's car, the Alfa Romeo 1750 Sprint just begs its driver to find the nearest stretch of winding road, such are the levels of responsiveness and performance. Built from 1968 until 1971, the 1750 Sprint had slightly revised styling, with four headlamps instead of two and a single chrome bar in place of the grille. This example has been fitted with a later genuine GTV 2 litre engine.
