Pedal Car - Austin J40 (1.6m Long)

Description

Austin produced over 31,000 J40 pedal cars between 1949 and 1971 using leftover scrap metal left over from production of roads cars at Longbridge at a specially constructed factory at Bargoed, South Wales.  An original, unrestored example, chassis number 18655 is offered from long-term family ownership in weathered condition.  The battery, the bonnet chrome strip (with Austin’s “Flying A” symbol found on the earlier cars), instrument facia, second headlamp and four dress rims are supplied but no battery.
