1999 Nissan 200SX Sports S14 Coupe (Australian Delivered)

Description

The S14 Nissan 200SX was sold new in only three countries – Japan, Australia and New Zealand.  In Japan it was a Silvia. The 200SX went on sale here in 1994, the same year as Subaru’s mighty WRX and like the Subey was an absolute bargain at $40K. In a world of front-drivers, the 200SX remained true to its Silvia rear-drive heritage dating back to 1964 when the gorgeous Datsun 1500 coupe was introduced as the original Silvia. The 200SX’s highly tuned 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing made 147kW of power and 265 Nm of torque. With a longer wheelbase than its predecessors, the S14 was very well balanced and later became one of the favourite machines for drifting.
