1997 Honda CB50V Dream Motorcycle

Description

The Honda Dream 50 (or AC15 in Honda parlance) is a retro-styled 50cc single cylinder motorcycle manufactured in 1997 (CB50V model) and 1998 (CB50W) only. Honda built the AC15 to commemorate its successful 1962 Honda CR110 single cylinder racer, and thus the Dream 50 has 1960s styling with short racing handlebars and an elongated, low-profile fuel tank. The frame was a diamond design with a reinforced single front down tube bolting to the engine's crankcase. The top of the frame had a reinforced double-tube over and under configuration, meeting a multi-tube box under the rider. Its engine was a 50cc air-cooled, transverse mounted, DOHC four-stroke single cylinder unit producing 4.2kW at 10,500 rpm and 4.11Nm at 8500rpm. It drove through a five-speed manual, and featured disc brakes front and rear.
