A Pocket Bike is a miniature motorcycle, with a wheelbase in the range of 1000mm and an engine displacing between 30cc and 50cc. A typical Pocket Bike is about one-quarter the size of a regular motorcycle and is powered by a two-stroke internal combustion engine producing somewhere between 1.8 and 11 kW. Pocket Bikes have no suspension and weigh around 23 kg. This provides a power-to-weight ratio very favorable for racing. Despite their tiny size, both adults and children race them at speeds of up to 126 km/h in organized racing competitions overseas. In most countries, a license is not required to ride these miniature bikes, however they are also not street legal and can only be ridden on private land.
